How We Are Talking To Our White Children About Race, Rioting, Police, And The Church
It’s Ok To Not Know What You Don’t Know — But It’s Not OK To Stay That Way
I was going to write a different article this week.
I am an Enneagram type 9, and with that often comes a temptation to withhold a voice which otherwise needs to be heard.
Sometimes those of us that are Type 9’s tend to mistake our ability to be Peacemakers with a temptation to be Peacekeepers.
Peacekeepers stay silent to stay comfortable and avoid controversy. Keeping the peace only for a few.
Peacemakers trouble the waters until there is peace for all.
Here’s to troubling the waters.
My latest article is about how my wife and I are talking to our white children about race, rioting, police, and the church. Nothing controversial there.
It is ok to not know what we don’t know - but it is not ok to stay that way.
